    Long story short.

Yesterday we got to vote on whether or not to be independent from the UK. The no voters won 55% to 45% which I am devastated about.

British Nationalists have now taken to the streets of Glasgow to gloat. They’re burning Scottish flags, being violent towards yes voters in the street. Waving British and Nazi flags and marching around doing the Nazi salute. Several Yes voters have been stabbed in the street (one man was stabbed in the neck three times). A grown man ripped a Scottish flag out a young girls hands (13 years old at most) and then kicked her to the ground.

Yesterday we all have a hope for a brighter future for Scotland where we were in charge, as a nation, of our own future and in less than 24 hours. People voted no, David Cameron and the other main party leaders in Westminster have gone back on their word and are now saying that the Scottish parliament won’t get any more powers (they had said during the campaign that if there was a no vote that they would give the Scottish parliament more powers which is a huge reason so many people voted No, they were given false hope). Scottish first minister Alex Salmond has stepped down. He was one of the best things that’s ever happened to Scotland and now there’s all this violence in Glasgow from members of the No Campaign.

I am so disheartened and disappointed right now. I’ve joined the Scottish National Party and I just hope that his campaign stays alive because this is far from over. Scotland will have it’s independence one day.
